Aberfeldy – 25 Year Old 125th Anniversary Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

This is a 25 year old Highland single malt from Aberfeldy, bottled by the distillery to mark its 125th anniversary. Aberfeldy began distilling in 1898. The whisky rested for over two decades before being finished in Oloroso sherry casks, which add a spiced note to its rich, fruity character. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The nose is rich, with Highland honey, wild strawberries and ripe peaches, then cocoa powder, creamy caramel and cinnamon. The palate is described as full of fruits and spices, with hints of leather and tobacco behind.
