Aberfeldy 25 Year Old is a Highland Perthshire single malt in a 70cl bottle, released for the distillery's 125th anniversary. It matured for over two decades in refill American oak casks, ex-bourbon and ex-sherry, then spent more than a year in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose offers Highland honey, wild berries, ripe peaches, dark plums, toasted oak and cocoa powder. On the palate come heather honey, dried fruit, dark chocolate, orange peel and toasted almonds. The finish is long and warm, with honey, dried orchard fruit and cinnamon.
