This is a 25 year old single malt from Aberlour, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range. It comes from a single refill cask, distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2020, at 58.4% ABV in a 75cl bottle made for the USA.
The nose is sweet and fruity, with juicy apricots and tangy oranges. The palate starts creamy and buttery with a barley character, then moves to citrus fruits and allspice. The finish carries cinnamon, dried fruits and buttermilk pancakes with syrup.
