The whisky was matured in cask #310751, a first fill bourbon hogshead, which yielded 273 bottles. Blair Athol is best known as a core part of the Bell's blends, and a single cask shows the distillery's own fruity, juicy character.
The nose is fresh and pastry-like, with cardamom brioche, icing sugar, cherry and birch shavings. The palate is broad, with kirsch, pineapple and caramelised hazelnut, and the finish is fruity and long.
