This is a 12 year old Dailuaine from Speyside, selected and bottled by Adelphi. It was distilled in 2013 and matured in a refill Oloroso hogshead, cask 302796, which yielded 265 bottles at 53.5% ABV.
The colour is golden, likened to a croissant fresh from the oven.
The nose combines sharp lemon cream and Cointreau with liquorice, old library books, caraway and dark chocolate. On the palate there are chocolate-covered cherries, apple strudel, fresh mint, eucalyptus, toasted pecans and dulce de leche. The finish is long and bright, with a slightly drying edge.
