The Cargill Fusion is an Adelphi bottling that brings together four casks: two of Ardnamurchan from 2016 and two of Cardrona, pairing Scottish and New Zealand whisky. One of the Cardrona casks is a Felton Road Pinot Noir barrique. It is 5 years old, in a 70cl bottle at 57.4% ABV, with 1,200 bottles produced.
On the nose are clove-studded orange, peach iced tea, daylily, white wine sangria, strawberry jam and spring onion. The palate is sparkling like champagne, with fizzy white peach, soft butter, cardamom and chilli white chocolate and salted cashew. The finish is lively at first, then soft and syrupy, long and lush.
