Adelphi The Glover 8 Year Old Ardnamurchan and Chichibu (56.4%)

A blended malt from Adelphi that combines single malts from Ardnamurchan in the western Highlands of Scotland and Chichibu in Japan. It is a tribute to Thomas Blake Glover, the Scottish businessman who played a central role in Japan's industrialisation. This is batch 7, bottled in 2024 at a natural cask strength of 56.4%. It is non-chill-filtered, without added colouring, and only 482 bottles were filled. The nose is ripe fruit, vanilla and toasted oak with a touch of smoke and spice. The palate brings dark chocolate, caramel and spice with gentle smoke and maritime notes. The finish is long and warming.
