Ærø Whisky single malt is a soft, rounded whisky with no smoke in the flavour, made from barley grown on Ærø. Each bottle is numbered and can be traced from the individual field through the casks. It was matured in fresh Oloroso and PX sherry casks, is at least three years old and is bottled at 48% in a 50cl bottle. The colour is natural, it is not chill-filtered, and up to 1,000 bottles are filled each year. The notes are of prune, vanilla and sherry, with a light, elegant sweetness.
