Ærø Whisky Standard Issue is a Danish single malt bottled at 48% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It is a selection of casks judged ready for bottling, mostly second-fill PX or Oloroso sherry casks, chiefly of 128 litres, medium-plus toasted and roughly 4 to 8 years old. The whisky itself is at least 3 years old.
It is non-chill-filtered and takes its colour naturally from the casks, so some sediment may appear in the bottle. It is described with notes of honey, green apples, grain, oak and citrus.
