- JM Martinique rum cask finish
Aikan Extra Collection is a blend of selected whiskies finished in JM Martinique rum casks. It is Batch 1, bottled at 43% in a 50cl bottle by Aikan Whisky.
The rum finish gives it a warm, rounded character with a slightly tropical edge that stays short of overly sweet.
The nose has vanilla, cane sugar, soft spices and a hint of ripe banana. The palate is smooth, with light woody notes, caramel, dried fruit and a subtle rum influence. The finish is medium-long, warm and gently spiced.
