Aikan Whisky Blend Collection (50cl, 43%)

Aikan Whisky Blend Collection is a blended whisky bottled at 43% in a 50cl bottle. The nose is rich and sweet, opening with vanilla, malt and fruit that turn pastry-like with a little air: crème brûlée, candied orange, apricot custard, banana and roasted almonds, with a fresh, green note of sugar cane. Papaya, plum and cooked apple follow, with nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate is smooth, carrying the fruit into barley sugar, walnut, marron glacé, dark chocolate and pepper, with a touch of Scottish-style smoke and a cool, almost minty herbal note. The finish is long, with ginger, caramel, vanilla, coconut and sweet spices.
