This is a 12 year old single cask single malt from the Eigashima distillery in Hyogo, Japan, bottled at 61% in a 50cl bottle.
The whisky matured for 12 years in an old sherry butt, number 105036. It is one of the oldest releases from this small distillery in recent times, and 480 bottles were released in late 2020.
The sherry cask gives a rich whisky with dry figs, raisins and prunes, along with a hint of spices and chocolate.
