Akashi Meïsei is a Japanese blended whisky from the Eigashima White Oak distillery, made as a version of Akashi Blended and bottled exclusively for the French market. Meïsei means celebrity in Japanese.
It contains 45% single malt aged in American oak barrels, compared with 30% in the regular Akashi Blended.
The notes are woody and spicy, with oak and vanilla, and a rich, round texture.
