This is Akashi Single Malt, a single cask whisky from Eigashima's White Oak distillery in Japan. It was matured in a Cognac cask. The distillery was born in 1984, when the company moved to its current facilities. It stands in the city of Akashi in Hyogo Prefecture, west of Kobe, and faces the Seto Inland Sea.
