Akashi Single Malt (46%)

Akashi Single Malt is a Japanese single malt from the Eigashima distillery, bottled at 46%. It is made from 100% malted barley and matured for three years in bourbon and sherry casks. The colour is bright gold with light amber glints. The nose carries chamomile, sherry and malt, and vanilla is the dominant note throughout. On the palate there is vanilla and butter. The finish is refined, with the same vanilla now joined by woody flavours.
