Akkeshi "Grain Rain" Blended Whisky 2024 is a blend of malt and grain whiskies, bottled at 48% ABV. It follows the classic style of earlier Grain Rain releases, with almost half the blend made up of malt whisky from Akkeshi Distillery. That malt is noted for its rich sweetness and citrus-like fragrance.
The nose has fruit parfait, karinto and freshly picked sweet summer oranges. On the palate there are hotcakes with coffee and honey, and the finish brings freshly brewed orange tea, nuts and anise.
