Hakuro Shiratsuyu is a 2023 release from the Akkeshi distillery in Hokkaido, Japan. It takes its inspiration from the landscape around Akkeshi, and the packaging pays homage to the same scenery.
The nose offers citrus sweetness and an exotic incense note. On the palate there is orangette and citrus freshness, with bitter and slightly sweet flavours together. The finish is bittersweet, with a pleasant incense aroma.
