Akkeshi Seimei Peated is a single malt from the Akkeshi distillery on Hokkaido, in northern Japan, sold in a 70cl bottle.
It is made with peated malt, giving an intense, smoky character balanced by fresh, floral notes.
Sweet spice, fine ash and a slight marine note are described, and on the palate malty sweetness meets peaty depth. The finish is elegant and lasting.
