Akkeshi – Taisho Blended (70cl)

Taisho Blended is a Japanese blended whisky from Akkeshi on Hokkaido, in a 70cl bottle. It is made by combining selected malts with grain whisky. The cold, dry climate of Akkeshi is said to favour a long maturation, which gives the whisky its gentle character. The nose is vanilla and honey with a faint thread of peat. The palate is soft, with dried fruit and light spice, and the finish is lingering with slightly smoky notes.
