This is a 15 year old Speyside single malt from Allt-a-Bhainne, distilled in 2008 and bottled for the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 108.71, named An Autumn Vineyard Walk. It is bottled at 61.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and 300 bottles were produced.
It spent 12 years in ex-bourbon wood before further time in a second fill cosecha PX barrique.
The nose is fruity, with toffee apples, sugared plums, fruit cake and boozy trifle. The palate sets creamy yoghurt bar against tart pineapple jelly, dried strawberries and apricot jam, and the finish brings cinnamon, fig and damson stones.
