This is a 24 year old single cask Allt-a-Bhainne from Speyside, bottled by Stiùbhart at 44.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Allt-a-Bhainne is a Chivas Brothers distillery, and its bottlings are not often seen.
The nose is big and rich, with ripe fruit, soft peach and a hint of crushed almond. On the palate it is gentle, smooth and fruity, with salted caramel, woody notes, oily richness, a little sweet floral tone, soft peat, summer fruits, sliced apples and golden honey. The finish is medium in length, with lingering drying florals.
