This is a 20 year old Speyside single malt from Allt-a-Bhainne, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2025 as part of the Infrequent Flyers series. It is a single cask bottling, one of 324 bottles, at 59.1% abv, without colouring or chill-filtration.
After maturing, the whisky was finished in a Recioto della Valpolicella hogshead, which brings a fruity, sweet and spicy character.
The nose offers dark berries, cherries, raisins and fine oak spice. The palate is full and complex, with red fruit, chocolate, spice and a balanced sweetness, leading to a long, warm finish.
