Amrut – 6 Year Old 2020/2026 Best Dram Port Pipe (70cl, 58.2%)

This is a 6 year old peated single malt from the Amrut distillery in Bangalore, India, bottled by the independent bottler Best Dram at 58.2% in a 70cl bottle. The spirit was distilled from peated barley in February 2020 and matured until August 2026 in a first fill port pipe, which gave a deep mahogany colour. The single cask yielded 303 bottles at cask strength, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring. The nose combines ashy smoke with ripe plums and raisins. The palate is full, with dark chocolate, liquorice, pepper and clove, and the finish is long, with dry smoke, cocoa and warm wood.
