AnCnoc 16 Years Old is a Highland single malt matured in ex-bourbon barrels at the small Knockdhu distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
Production there involves a good deal of hand work, and the distillery has a small visitor area and offers tours.
The nose has fresh green apples, creamy vanilla and caramel. The palate is full-bodied, with apples, candied orange peel, fine citrus and a touch of sweet honey. The finish is long, balanced and harmonious.
