AnCnoc 18 Years Old is a single malt from the Knockdhu distillery in Aberdeenshire, matured for 18 years in sherry and bourbon casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It has no added colour and is not chill-filtered, so it can turn slightly hazy when cold or when water is added.
The nose combines light spice with dried fruit, chocolate, orange and leather. The palate recalls fruit cake, candied lemon and spices, followed by vanilla, caramel and honey. The finish starts sharp and peppery, then turns sweet.
