AnCnoc 24 Year Old is a Highland single malt distilled at Knockdhu. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill filtered, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent 24 years in a mix of ex-bourbon and sherry-seasoned oak casks. Knockdhu was founded in 1894 and still uses worm tubs.
The nose has dried fruit, old leather, beeswax and dark chocolate, with a little citrus and old oak. On the palate come fig, toffee, marmalade and roasted almond, with spice, tobacco leaf and mellow sherry warmth. The finish is long, with nutmeg, vanilla and oak tannin.
