A single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Angel's Envy, bottled at a cask strength of 55% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The bourbon is aged for four to six years, then finished for a further three to six months in a single Ruby Port barrel from the Douro region of Portugal.
The Port finish is the house approach, started by Lincoln Henderson, and this barrel is bottled at a higher strength and intensity than the standard release.
The nose is nutty and jammy, with cacao nibs, plums and burnt caramel. The palate has roasted peanuts and deep red fruit. The finish lingers with earthy spice, dried dates and espresso beans.
