This is a ten-year-old peated Lowland single malt from Annandale, from the distillery's Man O'Sword line of peated whiskies. It matured in a fresh ex-bourbon cask, number 626, and was bottled at a cask strength of 58% in a 70cl bottle. Only 205 bottles were filled from this single cask, made for the German market. It has no added colour and is not chill-filtered.
Smoke meets fresh green apple peel, fine vanilla and oak on the nose. The palate joins toffee and caramel sweetness with spicy smoke. The finish is long, warm and slightly dry, leaving smoke, sweetness and restrained spice.
