Annandale – 2015 7 Year Old North Star Spirits Cask Series 021 (70cl, 54.9%)

This is a single malt from Annandale, bottled by the independent bottler North Star Spirits as Cask Series 021. It matured for seven years in an Oloroso sherry butt after being distilled in November 2015, and was bottled in November 2022 at a cask strength of 54.9%. The outturn was 458 bottles in 70cl. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Pronounced peat and smoke sit against plum pastry and dark treacle, with brown sugar, toffee and stewed berries adding sweetness. Cinnamon, pink pepper and pickled ginger bring spice.
