A peated Lowland single malt from Annandale, distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2023 as a distillery bottling from a single cask. Man O' Sword is the name of the distillery's peated line, and this release comes from the Founders Selection. The whisky matured in a first-fill ex-bourbon Double Oak cask, number 1028, and was bottled at cask strength, 60.4%, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings sweet pineapple, dried mango and caramelised papaya with light smoke and malty spice. The palate has soft caramel sweets, creamy vanilla custard, sugared tropical fruit, strong smoke, oak spice and a hint of linseed oil. The finish is long, with smoke, nuts and spice.
