Annandale 8 Year Old 2015 Cask Collection - A.D. Rattray (57.2%)

An 8 year old Annandale single malt, distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2023 by A.D. Rattray at 57.2% ABV. It comes from a single bourbon barrel, is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, and yielded 255 bottles. The distillery in Annan was founded in 1836 and stood idle for over 90 years before reopening in November 2014. This is the first Annandale in the Cask Collection, distilled only a few months after the reopening and filled into a fresh bourbon barrel that lifts the tropical fruit character. The nose offers ripe banana, sponge syrup and Madagascan vanilla. On the palate come sticky toffee, soft guava and vanilla crescent biscuits, and the finish recalls banana cake with butter rum sauce.
