This is a single malt from Annandale, a Lowland distillery near the town of Annan in the south of Scotland. Man O'Sword is bottled at 61.1% in a 70cl bottle, from cask 106, and this is bottle number 039.
The nose brings tar and soot alongside salted dough and caramel. On the palate there is clove and pineapple with fresh peat smoke, then smoked cashews with creamy custard. The finish is warming, with more peat smoke.
