This is a peated single malt from Annandale, distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2022 at 6 years old. It matured in a first fill bourbon barrel and was bottled by Whisky Druid at 56.2% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The outturn was 254 bottles.
The nose is a gentle peat smoke with sweet vanilla and fully ripe, lightly caramelised pear. The palate is surprisingly soft, with peat smoke, sweet vanilla, light dry cake and crumble, turning fruitier and milder towards the end with caramelised pear. The finish is medium, with peat smoke and a sweetness that moves into fruit.
