Antique Lions of Spirits Glen Moray 28 Year Old

This is a 28 year old Glen Moray bottled by Antique Lions of Spirits as a single cask release of 216 bottles. The whisky was distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2016. Antique Lions of Spirits is a collaboration between Max Righi of Silver Seal Whisky Company, Diego Sandrin of Lions Whisky and Jens Drewitz of Sansibar. Its first series pays tribute to the Birds bottlings that the Italian bottler Moon Import released in 1988. The nose is led by bourbon vanilla with apples and pears. On the palate come soft white fruit, bittersweet citrus, grass and green tea, and the long finish brings dark chocolate with a hint of tobacco.
