Antique Lions of Spirits Speyside Region Malt 41 Years Old (46.9%)

A 41-year-old Speyside single malt from Antique Lions of Spirits, distilled in 1975 and bottled in 2016 at 46.9% ABV. Only 230 bottles exist. Antique Lions of Spirits is a collaboration between Max Righi of Silver Seal, Diego Sandrin of Lions Whisky and Jens Drewitz of Sansibar, and a tribute to the Italian bottler Moon Import. The nose is fresh and waxy, with mandarin, cherry and new tobacco, then herbs and honey. The palate brings fruit and fresh oriental herbs, with tobacco and a eucalyptus-like freshness. The finish is long, with mint, coconut and apple.
