Ardara Peated is an Irish single malt bottled at 46% ABV, with soft peat smoke as its main theme.
It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry casks, which add honeyed malt, orchard fruit, vanilla and a little spice to the smoke.
The nose offers soft peat smoke, honey, green apple, vanilla and toasted oak, with hints of dried fruit. The palate is smooth, with light smoke, sweet barley, caramel, orchard fruit and gentle sherry richness. The finish is medium to long and clean, with lingering soft smoke and malt sweetness.
