Ardbeg – 10 Year Old 1998 Single Cask Toast & Smoke (Feis Ìle 2009)

This is a single cask Ardbeg from Islay, distilled in 1998 and bottled at ten years old for the Feis Ìle festival in 2009. The whisky was filled into a toasted oak hogshead on 4 December 1998, matured in Warehouse 2 and drawn at natural cask strength on 10 December 2008. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, and 252 numbered bottles carry the festival crest. Its character is tarry, coastal peat with vanilla cream, charred oak and zesty citrus.
