Ardbeg 10 Years Old is an Islay single malt matured for ten years in American oak casks. The oak brings vanilla and a sweetness that sits against the smoky, peated character. It is non-chill-filtered and pale gold in colour.
The nose is strongly peaty, with bitter chocolate, a hint of lemon and a touch of aniseed. On the palate, peat comes with vanilla cream, espresso and salted caramel. The finish is long, with liquorice and smoky spice.
