Ardbeg – 15 Year Old The Beithir's Tale Anthology 3rd Release (70cl, 46%)

A 15 year old Islay single malt from Ardbeg, the third and final release in the Anthology series. The Beithir's Tale draws on the legend of a serpent said to haunt the shores of Islay. It was matured for 15 years in bourbon casks that were air-seasoned, heavily toasted and lightly charred, a cask regime used throughout its maturation. The peat smoke remains, alongside an unusually creamy texture. Flavours include treacle, toasted apples, citrus, coffee grounds and smoked butter, together with the maritime character associated with Ardbeg.
