This is an Islay single malt from Ardbeg, distilled in March 1991 and aged for 19 years in a single refill hogshead. Douglas Laing bottled it in 2010 as part of its Old & Rare Platinum range, at 53.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is a single cask release, with 212 bottles filled from that one hogshead. Ardbeg is known for a heavily peated Islay style, and this bottling comes from the distillery's output of the early 1990s.
