Ardbeg – 2009 11 Year Old Single PX Cask 3770 (70cl, 59.3%)

A single cask Ardbeg distilled in July 2009 and bottled in 2021 at 11 years old. It matured in a second-fill Pedro Ximenez sherry butt, cask 3770, and was bottled at 59.3% in a 70cl bottle. This release was made for Sweden, and 504 bottles were produced. Pedro Ximenez is a white Spanish grape used to make an intensely sweet, dark dessert sherry. Ardbeg changed hands and went through periods of closure during the 20th century, before Glenmorangie plc revived it in 1997.
