This is Ardbeg Lord of the Isles, a 25-year-old single malt bottled in 2001. It matured in a bourbon cask and is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The name comes from a Scottish noble title with origins that predate the Kingdom of Scotland. The chiefs of Clann Domhnaill held the earlier title Lord of Islay in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, before taking the title Lord of the Isles in the late fourteenth century.
