Ardbeg 8 Year Old For Discussion is a peated Islay single malt made as a Committee Release for members of the Ardbeg Committee. It is bottled at 50.8% ABV and was matured mainly in sherry casks. The nose brings charcoal, creosote and butterscotch, with fennel and celery and a thread of wood smoke. On the palate a peppery start gives way to aniseed, salted caramel chocolate, eucalyptus and heather, and the finish is long, with peppermint and clove.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
