Ardbeg An Oa is a heavily peated single malt from Ardbeg, which was established by the MacDougall family in 1815.
It is built from whiskies of several cask types, including Pedro Ximenez, virgin charred oak and ex-bourbon, which spend time together in a newly established oak Gathering Vat. The result is smoky power with a smooth sweetness.
The palate shows Ardbeg peat, dark chocolate and aniseed, wrapped in silky butterscotch, black pepper and clove.
