Ardbeg An Oa is an Islay single malt from Ardbeg, bottled at 46.6% in a 70cl bottle.
It rests in a purpose-built oak Gathering Vat, where whiskies from several types of cask are brought together: sweet Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, spicy new charred oak and ex-bourbon casks.
The result is smoky and powerful, with a soft sweetness running through it. Islay peat comes with dark chocolate, aniseed, cream caramel, black pepper and clove.
