Ardbeg – Anamorphic (75cl, 48.2%)

Anamorphic is an experimental Islay single malt from Ardbeg, bottled at 48.2% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The experiment lies in the casks: the barrel heads are removed so that more of the wood is exposed to toasting, which is meant to add richness to the whisky maturing inside. The result is described as full of mocha, coffee bean and other roasted flavours, alongside Ardbeg's familiar peat smoke and spice.
