Ardbeg – Corryvreckan Single Malt Whisky (75cl)

Ardbeg Corryvreckan is an Islay single malt named after a whirlpool off the island's coast. It is made with whiskies aged in both Bourbon and Sherry casks, and bottled at a higher strength without chill filtration. Ardbeg's lighter body and marked salinity are put down to a purifier fitted beneath the lyne arm of its stills, which helps separate lighter alcohols from heavier ones. On the palate it is savoury and meaty, with salt, peat, smoke, bacon and chocolate.
