Dolce is an Ardbeg from Islay, bottled at 47.8% and matured in Marsala casks. It is linked to the annual Fèis Ìle and interprets the idea of La Dolce Vita in an Islay way, setting smoke against sweetness.
The nose has a strong smoke wrapped around sun-ripened apricots, juicy raisins and sticky dates, with bittersweet orange marmalade. On the palate, star anise and cinnamon meet dark chocolate, honeycomb and salted walnuts. The finish is long, with smoked apple wood, dry tobacco and campfire embers.
