Ardbeg Drum is a limited edition Islay single malt, released in 2018 as the Committee Release at 52% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It matured first in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in casks that had held rum from the Americas, the first Ardbeg to have a rum cask finish. It was released in celebration of the Feis Ile festival. The distillery's savoury smoke meets the bright, fruity notes that the rum casks add. The nose has bonfire smoke, earthy pine, ripe banana, banana bread and pineapple, with dark chocolate and candied ginger. The palate is spicy with pepper, clove, cinnamon and ginger, alongside liquorice and vanilla. The finish is roasted coffee beans with sweet cinnamon and cocoa.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
