Ardbeg Drum is a 46% Islay single malt released for Ardbeg Day on 1 June 2019. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
Its distinguishing feature is a finish in rum casks from the Americas, an unusual step for Ardbeg, which sets the peat smoke alongside tropical fruit.
The nose offers resin, bonfire smoke and sea spray with pineapple and banana. The palate is full and intense, with lavender, caramelised pineapple, peat smoke, vanilla and chocolate.
